1. What we collect and why

Table reservations

Name, email address, phone number, party size, date and time, and any special requests or menu choices you add. We use these to hold your table, send you a confirmation and, where you asked for it, a reminder. Legal basis: performing the booking you requested.

Online and Christmas orders

Name, email address, phone number, the dishes you ordered, your chosen collection date and time, and any notes (for example allergies). We use these to prepare your order, confirm it by email and contact you if something changes. Legal basis: performing the order you placed.

Enquiries by phone, WhatsApp or email

Whatever you choose to tell us so that we can answer you. WhatsApp messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their own terms.

2. Who we share data with

• Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, EU) — sends our confirmation and notification emails on our behalf.
• Google reCAPTCHA — protects our booking and order forms from automated abuse. Google may set cookies and process your IP address and browser information for this purpose.
• Google Analytics and Google Ads — only if you accept optional cookies (see below).
• Deliveroo — if you choose delivery you leave our site and order under Deliveroo's own privacy policy.
• DigitalOcean — hosts this website in their London data centre.

We never sell your data and we do not send marketing emails unless you have asked for them.

3. How long we keep it

Reservation and order records are kept for up to 24 months so we can handle queries, then deleted. Email confirmations held by our email provider are deleted in line with their retention settings. Backups of our booking system are kept for 14 days.

4. Cookies

Essential cookies and browser storage are needed for the site to work — for example to remember that you dismissed a notice or to keep you signed in to the staff area. These do not need your consent.

5. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email bookings@delpopolo.co.uk and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
